Hayashi 24 Year Ryukyu Japanese Whisky is the pinnacle of Hayashi's Okinawan range. Rooted in awamori, the 500-year-old Ryukyu spirit made from indica rice and black koji, this whisky was matured for twenty-four years in oak, an extraordinary span for any Japanese spirit, and bottled at 43% ABV in a 700ml bottle.Nearly a quarter century in the barrel produces remarkable depth: rich dark chocolate, oak with deep vanilla undertones and a symphony of dried fruit, in a texture that is luxurious and perfectly balanced. The finish is exceptionally smooth and enduring. It is a whisky for the slowest sipping, neat, from a good glass.Presented in a gift box, this bottle is one of the oldest Japanese whiskies available and a centerpiece for a serious collection.
